Heritage charter

From a trading house in Ibadan to an open treasury

FOUND Africa traces its enterprise lineage to Madam Janet Alatede Ajike Ogan, whose Ibadan trading house built wealth the slow way: reinvest first, look after your people, and leave something behind for the generation that has not arrived yet. That ordering is not sentiment here. It is written into how money moves through the ecosystem.

The 90 / 9 / 1 rule

Every net profit figure reported by a connected FOUND application is split by a versioned governance policy before a single dollar is paid out. The percentages live in the treasury ledger as data, so a change of policy is a recorded governance act with a new version — and historical allocations keep the rule that produced them.

Foundation Treasury

90%

Ecosystem reserves, empowerment grants, protocol liquidity and the infrastructure every FOUND product runs on. Capital is retained for the long horizon, not distributed for the short one.

Operations & Staff Welfare

9%

Operating overhead, compliance and the welfare of the people who build and run the operating entities — the enterprise discipline the trading house was known for.

Alatede Aboderin Alliance (AAA) Fund

1%

A descendant-line endowment router. The slice splits 50/50 between a monthly disbursal pot and the Eternal Compounder Vault. The pot pays 90% across the six Alatede-Aboderin ancestral lines (20% each to Moyosore, Olajide, Jadesola and Olubunmi; 5% each to Sariyu and Ajibola) and 10% to the AAA Initiatives Fund for heritage, urban development and STEM.

How it is enforced
